The listing agent says “great location.” I disagree… I just don’t love the fact that you’re so close to the 9th Street bridge with all of that traffic, and you’re quite the hike from the beach. Put it this way: Grab a 4-bedroom condo in the central part of town on Central Ave for $1.4M or this new single-family for the same price. If I were buying an investment property or a vacation house, I would choose the former. However, if you only want a single family and don’t have a $2M+ budget, this is a great option.

Things are changing and are very weird. If this property was for sale this time last year, no doubt that it would be gone quickly, but we’ll see. Here’s something cool though that most people don’t think of with a house like this: I’ve mentioned before that Asbury Ave typically houses 30 x 100-foot lots. If you bought this first-floor unit and were eventually able to purchase the second-floor unit, you’d be stepping into a gold mine. Here’s why: You could sell off the whole property to a developer or tear it down, split the lots into two, and build out two properties with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on each floor.
